Applicant Terms
By submitting an application through this site you confirm the following.
This is contractor work, not employment
The role you are applying for is a self-employed contractor arrangement. It is not a contract of employment. You will invoice Ace of Clubs London for commission earned. You are responsible for your own income tax, National Insurance, and any other obligations to HMRC. Ace of Clubs London does not deduct PAYE, does not provide a salary or wage, and does not provide holiday pay, sick pay, or pension contributions through this arrangement.
Commission only
You earn the commission rates published on the role page. There is no fixed salary, no draw against future earnings, and no guaranteed minimum income. What you earn depends on how many guests you bring and how often. Earnings vary widely between contractors. We do not publish typical-earnings figures because they would be misleading without seeing your specific network and effort level.
Trial period and the 5-guest bar
If we invite you to start, the first two weeks are a trial period at full commission rates. To continue beyond the trial you must bring at least 5 converted guests in that period. If you do not, the contractor relationship ends. There is no penalty beyond the relationship ending.
Same-night exclusivity
While you are working a confirmed Ace of Clubs shift, or have confirmed guests inbound to an Ace of Clubs venue on a given night, you do not promote for a competing agency on the same night and venue category. Outside confirmed shifts and nights, you are free to work with whoever you choose, including other promoter agencies.
Equality and inclusion
Ace of Clubs London does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy, or maternity. Applicants from all backgrounds are welcome. Selection is based on the demands of the role described on the role page.
Liability
If you are accepted, you will be responsible for your own acts and omissions only. You will not be the occupier of any venue, you will not hold duties under the Occupiers' Liability Act 1957, and you will not be required to indemnify Ace of Clubs London for the independent conduct of any guest or third party. The venue and its licensed door team handle on-site conduct.
Insurance
If you are accepted, you will maintain public liability insurance of not less than £2,000,000 covering your own acts and omissions. We may, at our discretion, offer access to a group policy with weekly commission-deduction premiums as an alternative. This is offered, not required.
Status
Nothing in this application process or in any contractor agreement that follows creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship between you and Ace of Clubs London. You operate as an independent contractor.
