Ace of Clubs London

Role two · Anywhere, phone based

Mayfair Nightlife Promoter
Remote

You do not have to be at the door to bring the room.

Best Parties · London Club & Bar Awards 2016 & 2017

Ace of Clubs London runs the guest lists and tables at the best clubs in Mayfair. A lot of the work happens at the door. A lot of it happens before. In DMs, in WhatsApp threads, in the saved replies on Instagram. That before-the-night layer is what this role is.

If you have a strong personal network of people who go out in London, can spot who would love a night at Cirque Le Soir or The Box, and prefer working from your phone over standing on a street corner, this is the role.

What this role is

Self-employed contractor work. You invoice us. You earn per converted guest who arrives at the venue, per table that lands, per bonus you hit. Remote means you can be anywhere. Some of our best remote promoters have not been on the door once. You decide which nights you work.

What you will do

  • Source guests for guest lists. Mainly people who will come out, enjoy themselves, and bring more people like them next time. You find them, you message them, you confirm them for a specific night and venue.
  • Source table bookers. People with the budget and the social reason to book a £250-minimum table. Often small groups from finance, real estate, hospitality, creative industries. You find them, you pitch the night, you hand them off to the on-ground host.
  • Commit to a specific number of scouting hours every week. That is not "thinking about it." That is open Instagram, open your contacts, send the messages, log the responses.
  • Hand off cleanly. When a guest you sourced is going to a venue, you brief the on-ground AOC host. Name, time, expected group size, anything quirky the host should know. The guest gets cared for from the moment they arrive.
  • Track your numbers. Every guest you sourced who showed up, every booking that converted, every table that landed. The tracking is light but it is real. Your commission depends on it.

How you earn

Commission only. Same three-component structure as front of house, paid on outcomes:

  • Per converted guest who arrives at the venue. A tiered rate, paid on every guest you sourced who actually shows up. Higher tiers for premium nights and venues.
  • Per table you book. A percentage of the table's net spend, paid out of AOC's share.
  • Weekly bonus. Hit the Friday or Saturday sourced-and-arrived threshold at a given venue and you earn a bonus that night.

Specific rates, tier breakdowns and bonus thresholds are walked through in detail with shortlisted applicants at the video call. We do not publish them here because they shift between venues and seasons, and they are part of the working relationship rather than a public price list.

Beginners: 6 to 8 weeks of training at full commission rates. You must bring 5 sourced-and-arrived guests in your first 2 weeks. Below that, the role is not yours.

Real talk on earnings. What you actually earn depends entirely on how active and well-matched your network is. We do not publish typical-earnings figures because they would be misleading without seeing your specific network and effort. After your trial week we will sit down and work out what your first nights actually delivered. If you want a fixed salary, this is not the role.

Who succeeds here

  • An active network of people who go out in Mayfair regularly, or the ability to build one quickly.
  • Conversational on text and DM. The entire role runs on your messaging energy.
  • Taste for matching guests to venues. Cirque is not The Box is not Dear Darling. Sending the wrong person to the wrong room burns trust. Three weeks in you should be matching guests to venues the way a sommelier matches wine to food.
  • Reliable on follow-through. A guest who said "yes" then does not show is worse than no guest. You own the conversion, not just the pitch.
  • Honest with the host. If you sourced a group of four but only two are showing, you say so at 8pm not 11pm.

You do not need to live in London. We have remote promoters across Europe and further. Location is flexible as long as you can source guests who are actually going to Mayfair.

Applicants from all backgrounds welcome.

Who this is not for

  • People who plan to send templated copy-paste DMs to their entire follower list and call it sourcing.
  • People who think "remote work" means low effort. The good remote promoters work harder than the front-of-house ones.
  • People without an existing network. Cold outreach is not the main mechanism here.
  • People who need someone to chase them for an update.

How this works week to week

  • Availability submission. Send us your availability each Sunday so we can plan coverage. If you cannot deliver guests you previously confirmed for a night, tell us by 8pm that day so we can re-cover. There is no penalty for declining a night you have not yet confirmed.
  • Same-day responsiveness on event days. If you sourced people for Friday, you are reachable Friday until your guests have arrived.
  • Brief every guest before they arrive. Dress code, entry rules, the venue's contact on the night.

The rules

  • Same-night exclusivity. While you have confirmed guests inbound to an AOC venue on a given night, you do not promote for a competing agency for the same night and venue category. Outside confirmed nights you are free to work with whoever you choose.
  • You represent AOC when you use our branding in your sourcing messages or hand off guests to our hosts. Outside those contexts, your conduct is your own.
  • Guest briefing. Before any guest you sourced arrives, brief them on the dress code, entry requirements, and the venue's behaviour standards. You will not knowingly invite an individual you are aware has been previously refused entry, ejected, or barred from the venue.
  • Liability boundaries. You are responsible for your own acts and omissions, including the duty to brief and screen guests as above. You are not the occupier of the venue, you do not hold duties under the Occupiers' Liability Act 1957, and you are not required to indemnify Ace of Clubs London for the independent conduct of any guest or third party. The venue and its licensed door team handle on-site conduct.
  • Public liability insurance. You will maintain public liability insurance of not less than £2,000,000 covering your own acts and omissions.
  • Status. This agreement does not create an employment, agency, or partnership relationship between Ace of Clubs London and you. You operate as an independent contractor.

How to apply

Tell us your Instagram handle and roughly how active your network is in London nightlife, where you are based (UK or international), and the kind of person you bring most. Describe a typical guest you would send to a Friday at Cirque.

Apply at jobs.aoclondon.com/apply, or DM @aceofclubs_ on Instagram, or DM @nico_bandeira.

If we like what we read, we set up a video call. Trial period begins within seven days. After two weeks you have either hit 5 sourced-and-arrived guests or you have not. Honest, fast, no padding.
